Life Duel Rules
Game Overview
Life Duel is a strategic two-player game based on Conway's Game of Life. Players compete by placing colored squares that evolve according to cellular automaton rules over 10 rounds.
How Turns Work
- Blue player places 3 squares first
- Then Red player places 3 squares
- After both players finish, press "Evolve!"
- Repeat for 10 rounds total
Preview Markers
- X marks squares that will die next evolution
- O marks empty spaces where new squares will be born
- Use these to plan your strategy!
Evolution Rules
- Squares with 2-3 neighbors survive
- Squares with 0-1 or 4+ neighbors die
- Empty spaces with exactly 3 neighbors get a new square
- New square color depends on neighbor majority
- Watch smooth fade animations during evolution!
Game Ending
After 10 rounds, the player with the most squares on the board wins!
